According to the latest Hollywood celebrity gossip, KIM KARDASHIAN has jetted off to Haiti to work with a charity called We Advance. Has the stress of her divorce drama with estranged husband KRIS HUMPHRIES gotten to Kim? What’s with the sudden interest in philanthropy?
First she serves food to the homeless on Thanksgiving, and now she’s in Haiti giving back? What’s going on, Kim?
Okay, don’t get us wrong—it’s great that Kim is devoting her time to noble causes. But is she doing it because she genuinely wants to, or is she simply trying to rescue her flailing public image?
A source tells PEOPLE:
“Her intention was always to take the end of the year to focus on some of the other things that are important to her and this trip was one.”
The insider adds:
“[Kim's] father instilled in her and her siblings that every little bit counts and she always tries to do as much as she can – whether it’s privately or whether it’s something that she can use her platform for – to help.”
Kim reportedly flew to Haiti with momager Kris Jenner earlier this week. The two will be working alongside “Medium” star Patricia Arquette, designer Donna Karan, and “ER” actress Maria Bello, who co-founded the organization.
