LADY GAGA topped Forbes’ list of the Top Earning Women in Music of 2011. Whew! And here we thought she and ADELE were running neck on neck on this one. Lady Gaga beat everyone by more than a mile!
Financial Magazine Forbes says Mother Monster earned a skyrocketing total of $90 million this year, which is more than the next top two earners after her combined: Taylor Swift at number two, who earned $45 million, and Katy Perry, at number three with $44 million. Imagine the taxes they must shell out for income like that…
But the $90 million isn’t the sum total of all Gaga earned this year. The actual figure is closer to $170 million on 137 shows in 22 countries over the past 12 months. However, the Queen of Costumes did incur such astronomical production costs which reduced her gross considerably.
Still, we haven’t factored in the moolah Lady Gaga pulls in from heavy radio play, recorded music sales and endorsement deals.
That means she can’t be a tax evader…thanks to Forbes Magazine…
