According to the latest Hollywood news, LEA MICHELE dropped her last name because people kept making fun of her—or, to be more accurate, they kept making fun of her last name.
Guess Lea isn’t so different from her TV alter ego Rachel Berry, who was constantly bullied in the first two seasons of “Glee.”
During her appearance on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Wednesday, Lea revealed why she dropped her last name and started using the name she is know as now, which is simply Lea Michele. She told Leno:
“Sarfati. That’s my real last name… I don’t use it a lot because I got Lea So-fatty, Lea So-farty at school.”
Lea added:
“When I was little and I went on my first audition, they were like, ‘And may we have your name?’ And I was like, ‘Lea Michele.’ And I’ve been Lea Michele ever since.”
So which name do you prefer? Lea Sarfati or Lea Michele?
