RUSSELL BRAND has filed for divorce from KATY PERRY! We repeat: Russell has filed for divorce from Katy!
Okay, we all knew it was coming, but isn’t it still a shock?
As reported by the latest Hollywood gossip, Russell and Katy spent Christmas apart after allegedly having a huge fight. Also, the British actor hasn’t been wearing his wedding ring for the past few days, and now we know why—it’s not because he simply left it at home, or whatever seemingly plausible explanation you can think of—it’s because he was planning to divorce Katy!
The couple has been battling divorce rumors left and right for the past few months, and despite the fact that Brand himself denied them during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (spouting stuff like “I’m really happily married” and “Until death do us part was the pledge” to Ellen), he was the one who filed the docs.
The comedian reportedly filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences.” He also released a statement regarding the matter:
“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”
WHOA.
Russell, couldn’t you at least have waited until after the year ended?
