Pop punk princess, AVRIL LAVIGNE and Kardashian stepbrother, BRODY JENNER have split but continue to share Twitter love, and indeed, what seems to be a lingering affection for each other. Makes you wonder why they broke up in the first place, eh?
Or maybe it’s the thought of those matching tattoos of twin lightning bolts, and “f*ck” that’s got them cringing over the pain of laser removal. On the other hand, perhaps this split is only temporary and we’ll soon be hearing they’ve gotten back together…
Both Avril and Brody did confirm their split, and admitted it was a mutual decision they made together after a surprise engagement over the holidays. But their tweets to each other belie the fact that their stormy, bar skirmish-filled relationship is over.
“Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her”
Brody tweeted a few hours ago. To which the Canadian rocker responded with a similar shoutout on her account:

How sweet.
Maybe the erstwhile pair are thinking things through before they finally decide whether to get back together, or have their matching tattoos removed and remain friends….
