American Gladiator GINA CARANO called CHANNING TATUM a “p*ssy” and he smashed a bottle on her face to get even.
Ouch. Did he have to act like a real “p*ssy” just because some mixed martial arts broad called him one?
Consider that Channing Tatum is over six feet tall, weighs 200-plus lbs. and has the body of a heavyweight UFC fighter, not to mention he’s previously worked as a former exotic dancer (oh, wait…that doesn’t count). And Gina Carano, while she’s been trained in boxing and Muay Thai, only comes up to his chin, and is a puny 143 lbs. Granted her mug isn’t as daintily pretty as his wife’s, Jenna Dewan‘s, but did Channing Tatum really have to smash that bottle on her face?
Turns out he did. Because the script called for it.
Yup. Gina Carano and Channing Tatum are appearing in “Haywire” together, with Carano taking on the role of a freelance covert operative turned rogue, and Channing Tatum playing one of the elite specialists in her team who tries to bring her back to the U.S. after she’s been double-crossed in a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona.
“It comes time to actually have to smash a bottle on her face and she’s sitting across from me, and I’m like, ‘I can’t do this’.”
Channing Tatum admitted to Starpulse about scenes in their high action movie that also stars Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Ewan McGregor, and Michael Fassbender, and is set for theater release on January 20.
“And then she called me the ‘p’ word and it became a lot easier… and then as soon as I did it I realized I had made a huge mistake ‘cos the look that came back in her eyes made me do a lot of calculating… I was like, ‘I’m probably faster than her; I can get to the door. I can totally, like, get out of here and hold the door shut for a little while.”
Whew. So we guess he really is a p*ssy. At least when it comes to hurting women. And no matter what Gina Carano looks like, our hearts have given an extra flutter at the knowledge that Channing Tatum is such a gentleman when it comes to these sorts of things.
