Comedian TRACY MORGAN collapsed at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah after giving a speech Sunday night and had to be rushed to a hospital.
Let’s hope that speech had nothing to do with homophobia, because if it did, someone attentively listening in the audience may have been equipped with a little doll and a couple of dozen pins. On the other hand, maybe the collapse might have been caused by a whole bottle of scotch, maybe?
However, Morgan‘s rep told US Weekly that the comedian’s falling ill had nothing to do with gay slurs, voodoo dolls, or excessive drinking, and divulged that the reason Tracy fainted was:
“From a combination of exhaustion and altitude Tracy is seeking medical attention. He is with his fiancé [Megan Wallover] and is grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 percent false.”
Morgan was at the film festival in Utah to promote his film, “Predisposed,” and was an honoree at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards where he gave a speech, and promptly collapsed after having been escorted outside preceding his spiel.
But just a couple hours ago, the “30 Rock” star was reported to have been released from the Park City Medical Center, and he says he’ll be back at work Tuesday.
“Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn.”
Morgan tweeted earlier today.
“Thank U 2 the hospital staff. Back at work 2morrow shooting 30 Rock. Holla at me!”
Looks like Tracy Morgan will just have to keep away from high places…he and altitude don’t seem to be in very good terms at the moment…
