JENNIFER LAWRENCE covers Glamour magazine’s April 2012 issue, which is set to hit newsstands on March 6, 2012.
Doesn’t she look gorgeous?
The “Hunger Games” actress, who recently appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair’s special anniversary issue featuring this year’s freshest female stars, is Glamour’s cover girl for their April ish… and boy, does she look good!
Lawrence rose to prominence after her Oscar nomination for her exemplary work in the 2010 drama film “Winter’s Bone,” but the 21-year-old actress is in for even more fame—fame of “Twilight” proportions—with the release of her latest movie, “The Hunger Games.”
When asked if she’s ready for all the craziness that comes with starring as “Hunger Games” heroine Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer replies:
“I feel like I’m in the eye of the hurricane right now. I just recently started cleaning like I’m insane, and I’m starting to think it’s my anxiety over the movie… It’s just scary. I feel like I got a ticket to go to another planet and I’m moving there and there’s no turning back, and I don’t know if I’m going to like that other planet or have friends there. It’s daunting.”
But why did she take the role, if she was so afraid of all the fame? Jennifer explains to Glamour:
“I gave myself three days. I knew from reading the books that I loved The Hunger Games. I just didn’t know if it was worth changing my life for. I’m at a peaceful place right now. The people who used to ignore me at parties, now they’re nice to me and kissing my ass. But nobody’s staked outside of my house. I wanted to make sure that when I said yes, I wouldn’t regret it. And I don’t regret it. I would have said no because I was scared, and then I would have been that bitter actress telling my grandkids, “I’m the one that turned it down.” ”
On getting in shape for the role (which entailed a lot of running, tree climbing, and occasionally, shooting arrows at people), Jennifer admits:
“I don’t diet. I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?”
“I hate saying, ‘I like exercising.’ I want to punch people who say that in the face. But it’s nice being in shape for a movie, because they basically do it all for you. It’s like, ‘Here’s your trainer. This is what you can eat.’”
