KE$HA has again ditched the pounds of makeup and glitter—and this time for a photo shoot with Glamour magazine.
Have you ever seen Ke$ha looking so clean? No? Well, take a look:
Ke$ha rarely ever reveals what she really looks like underneath the glitter makeup, the neon face paint, and the metallic blue lipstick… but when she does, she ends up looking quite nice.
After getting treated to a serious scrub down by Glamour’s beauty experts, the “Your Love Is My Drug” singer did an interview with the magazine and, true to form, gave a few kooky answers.
When asked if she worries about going out without makeup for fear of being photographed with a bare face, Ke$ha responds:
“My makeup is usually left over from the night before. I’m not really worried about the photographs because if I tell my fans not to give a f–k about the haters, then I have to practice what I preach. I embrace the imperfections and celebrate them.”
However, despite her willingness to sport a more natural look when she’s not performing, Ke$ha says she has no plans of eventually getting rid of her wild glitter makeup and body paint. She says:
“The body paint stays. It’s my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I have parties at my house in Nashville and it’s clothing-optional, and we just body-paint each other and run around, and I have a giant bed. I’m very much in touch with that side of myself.”
And who are her style icons?
“I would love to embody the attitude of Iggy Pop or Keith Richards: a ballsy mentality. Stylistically, I love Vivienne Westwood—those capes! I’m obsessed.”
