Unlike many of the actresses who were almost all covered up in floor-length gowns and in long-sleeved dresses, Gwyneth picked out a rather semi-formal frock for her red carpet appearance at the 2012 Met Gala in New York.
Like Carey Mulligan, The blond veteran actress dressed up from head-to-toe in Prada, with her steel blue duchesse halter neck dress with inverted back pleats and embroidered patch pockets with micro-paillettes, her satin blush clutch and shoes of the same shade. She accessorized with Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie hooped earrings and a statement ring.
Gwyneth finished off her red carpet look with a center-parted sleek bun and barely there makeup.
