CHRIS HEMSWORTH explained to celebrity news in behalf of his wife that their newborn daughter’s name INDIA “just seemed to fit,” hence their choice of the unusual name.
Much like their sudden decision to get married after just three months of dating, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky were quick to agree on baby names for their first child, whether it be a boy or a girl. And since his Spanish wife gave birth to a girl, the “Thor” star’s first daughter was then christened with the name India.
But why the name, you ask?
The Aussie actor revealed to E! News:
“It was just a name we liked, I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she liked India. We sorta went, ‘Oh well, whether it’s a boy or girl that will decide.’ It just seemed to fit.”
How cute!
We honestly thought there was more to it than just that. But with their daughter surely growing up to be a stunning lady, thanks to her parents’ amazing mix and good looks, we’re sure she doesn’t need a reason for her name to be remembered!
