“Sex and the City” actress CYNTHIA NIXON finally married her lesbian partner CHRISTINE MARINONI after being engaged for three years, star news has learned.

After being engaged in April 2009 right in the middle of a rally to support the legalization of same-sex marriage in New York and being together since 2004, the bisexual actress and her girlfriend couple finally wed last Sunday—a year after Manhattan luckily had a change of heart about gay marriage.
Cynthia‘s rep told PEOPLE:
“On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York.”
The source added:
“Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera.”
The legal binding formally establishes that they are now a family of five—Marinoni gave birth to their son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni and Cynthia has two children from her ex, photographer Danny Mozes.
Ah, love. Isn’t it amazing how people can finally come together because of it?
