CLINT EASTWOOD‘s daughter, FRANCESCA EASTWOOD, sparked controversy after she and her photographer boyfriend TYLER SHIELDS lit a $100,000 Birkin bag on fire as an artistic stunt.
Ouch!
Last Saturday, Francesca and her boyfriend, controversial photographer Tyler Shields who previously did a Rihanna-inspired domestic violence photo shoot, posted photographs of a fire red Crocodile Birkin bag worth $100,000 being bitten, slashed with a chainsaw, drenched with gasoline and then burned—four months after they also sawed a pair of Christian Louboutins.
While many bizarre artists may understand the underlying artistry in the photographs taken from the couple’s stunt—captioned “Destruction is a beautiful version of freedom…”—many were outraged and shocked by the waste of money that they took their anger to Twitter and Facebook.
Many called it “shameful,” “incredibly insensitive,” “disgusting” and “deeply stupid and pretentious” while others didn’t hesitate to tell Francesca to “kill urself” and call her a “whore,” “b*tch” and a “c**t.”
Geez. There are hundreds of other celebrities who burn their money in so many other ways, and if Francesca and Tyler bought the Birkin bag, it’s their prerogative to do whatever the hell they want with it.
