According to the latest entertainment news, PHILLIP PHILLIPS has beaten JESSICA SANCHEZ after being crowned as the 11th “American Idol” winner.

After performing three difficult songs and getting a standing ovation from the judges for his third and newest single “Home” on “American Idol” Tuesday night, the 21-year-old Georgia-raised Phillip finally bagged the 11th season winning title and beat the teen songbird, Jessica Sanchez, who stumbled on her last song, “Change Nothing.”
Not bad for the guy who used to be a pawn shop worker and is due to undergo surgery for kidney problems!
Phillip also continues the long streak of male “American Idol” winners, making it 5 (since 2008).
