Recent star news tells us that ALEC BALDWIN wants to retire… and make his fiancee HILARIA THOMAS “pay the bills.”
Whoa, easy there mister!
It may be due to his recent paparazzi attack or his June wedding, but Alec sure is considering leaving his acting career for good—and be a stay-at-home dad while his soon-to-be wife brings home the bacon.
Can you imagine?
Earlier last month, the “30 Rock” and “Rock of Ages” actor told WonderWall:
“I keep telling my future wife [Hilaria] that I want her to get rich because I want to retire. She teaches yoga. I want her to become the world’s first billionaire yoga teacher.”
He continued:
“I know it is a long shot, but that’s the plan I’m sticking with right now. I want to have a baby and stay home and make the pancakes before I send my wife out to work every day to pay the bills.”
And with only Hilaria working, the 54-year-old actor will be able to spend a lot of quality time with their future child. He imagined:
“I’ll say to our child, ‘Don’t cry. Mommy has to go to work. Mommy’s a very important yoga teacher. Daddy’s here to take you to the park. I’ve got it all planned out.”
And if he ever gets bored at home, he just might be running for mayor in New York City against Michael Bloomberg in the next election.
He told CNN last April:
“After 12 years of Bloomberg, I know that New York on a spiritual level, on a psychic level, on an emotional level. They need a huge change. I think they need a mayor that is more inspiring.”
He added:
“I don’t know if I will be able to put together a campaign to run for that job [but] I would love to [try].”
So one thing’s for sure at this point—Alec will soon be leaving Hollywood.
