As usual, Blake manages to stun us with her apparent sexiness on the July cover of Marie Claire, where she wears a red satin blazer that exposes her innocent cleavage. No wonder she was able to snag some of the hottest Hollywood stars!
Unlike her co-star in the soon-to-be concluded “Gossip Girl,” Leighton Meester, Blake continues to looks the same as her Upper East Side character, Serena van der Woodsen, whom she almost seems to channel in her photo shoot for the magazine. But she admits that she’s actually not that much like her—except that she also currently lives in New York (with her boyfriend, Ryan Reynolds) and that she also loves to dress playfully in designer clothes.
In fact, she doesn’t have her own stylist!
The pretty actress, who stars “Savages,” tells the magazine about how she manages to pick out outfits on her own:
“My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events. Sometimes I think, God, why do I do this to myself? It’s so much extra work!”
When asked why she doesn’t get help like most celebrities do, Blake answers:
“Because I love fashion. It’s such an expression of self. I often see people and they look great, but I can identify who styled them. Every stylist has a signature. Maybe it sounds jerky, but I’m lucky to be on such a fashion-centric show ['Gossip Girl']. There’s no designer I don’t have access to.”
And just by looking at her, it’s definitely not difficult to figure out just how much she loves fashion. And she makes every designer dress look expensive too, wouldn’t you say?
