Celebrity news reports that CHARLIZE THERON shaved her head and went brunette for her new movie role in “Mad Max 4: Fury Road.”
Good bye long blond locks!
For her recent phenomenal stint as the evil queen in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Charlize sported her naturally glowing blond hair, sometimes up in intricate plaits. But for her new role as Furiosa in the Australian action film, “Mad Max 4: Fury Road,” she shaved most of her hair off and colored her hair dark brown—pretty much like Anne Hathaway did to her hair for “Les Miserables.”
But that’s not her only transformation for the film. The movie reportedly requires her character to be missing the lower half of her left arm, which will later be possible with the help of camera effects.
The Oscar-winning actress told Us Weekly about the film:
“The original ‘Mad Max’ created such a vivid world, so to go back and re-imagine it and re-play in that sandbox sounds like fun to me. Its a really challenging piece of material.”
She continued:
“With everything from ‘Young Adult‘ to ‘Prometheus,’ I feel very creatively satisfied, especially going in to ‘Mad Max.’ I feel very lucky.”
