KRIS JENNER and the KARDASHIAN siblings talked about fame, failed marriages and KIM‘s sex tape on “OPRAH‘s Next Chapter,” entertainment news has learned.
As expected, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, along with their momager Kris Jenner, removed all limits when it came to their topics for their interviews with Oprah Winfrey for the Kardashian family special on her show, “Next Chapter.”
They freely talked about what kept them in the media for so long, specifically the scandals of the most famous member of the infamous and wealthy TV family and the relationships that surrounded the rest of them.
Of the shocking sex tape with Ray J, Kim herself admits that she is well aware that it was what first made her famous. She mourned to Oprah:
“That’s something that I’m going to have to live with the rest of myself. Something that I’m going to have to tell my children one day.”
The usually proud mom, Kris, revealed that she actually cried herself to sleep after finding about her daughter’s sex tape, but didn’t treat her any differently:
“[I] just said, ‘Look I love you and I’m here for you. Whatever you do can never be that bad.’”
Kim also looked back on her relationship with her then-husband, Kim Humphries, whom she was married to for only 72 days. She admitted to not having much of a workable relationship with him before the marriage and that she only did what she had to do:
“Once we moved in, I knew that he was not ‘the one.’”
She continued about the divorce, which she also revealed had been an “epiphany” for her:
“As heartbreaking as that was to [file for divorce]… the lesson that I learned, and the person I am because of that crazy experience, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
Of course Kim is not the only member of the family who had to divorce anyone—momager Kris left Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob‘s father, the late Robert Kardashian, to marry her next few children’s father, Bruce Jenner, and refuses to regret the decision that gave her her beautiful statuesque daughters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
The divorce obviously brought some sadness (and a drop of paranoia) to the Kardashian siblings, who were of already of age when the split happened. Kim revealed:
“We knew it was my mom’s fault and we were really well aware.”
The pregnant Kourtney tells Oprah about how it continued to affect her decision to not marry her partner and father of her two kids, Scott Dissick, at least for now:
“I try to put myself in her shoes, and I would never do that to my family.”
She added:
“I’m kind of scared of marriage because of that.”
And while the three curvaceous sisters and their mother seem to have the popularity thing down pat, their youngest, Rob, is still not that used to being famous. In fact, he hates the words “celebrity” and “fame.”
He shared to Oprah:
“It sounds like you’re talking about yourself in an arrogant way. It just seems weird.”
Kourtney chimed in:
“I know I do it to myself, like I’m on a TV show, but I still am not comfortable.”
Kris, however, was very open about how she uses “any opportunity given to me to its fullest advantage.” She proudly said:
“And it doesn’t get any better than this. I know I’m exactly where I want to be.”
