The latest update about the recent LINDSAY LOHAN car crash tells us that the bus driver—who was driving the truck that the actress collided with—claims he’s innocent… and that he was bribed for silence!
Uh oh. This can’t be good…
As previously reported, Lindsay was hospitalized after a terrible car crash yesterday as she was driving on the way to filming for “Liz & Dick” and claimed that the collision was not her fault because the driver of the 18-wheeler truck allegedly cut her.
Apparently, that claim didn’t sit well with the truck driver, James, because according to him, it was LiLo‘s fault and he was offered money so he would shut up about the whole thing.
TMZ reported James‘ reaction to LiLo‘s allegation against him:
“…[James] emphatically denied it and claims he has multiple witnesses that saw Lindsay “flying” down the highway. James says he couldn’t have cut Lindsay off because he was already in the right lane when the accident occurred.”
He also told TMZ:
“LiLo was trying to flee the scene and when he tried to stop her … her people tried to buy his silence.”
James also got into details, claiming that Lindsay‘s rep and another guy connected to her movie tried to keep him away from Lindsay (he had no idea who she was at the time), offered to “go to the bank” with them and even packed a pink bag with something.
Probably money?
The truck driver also told the site:
“Him and the guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn’t want to be in the media. But I’d already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, ‘Don’t mention the bag to the cops.’”
However, according to Lindsay‘s rep, Steve Honig:
“Lindsay is cooperating fully with law enforcement. She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for.”
Saying that this is fishy is clearly an understatement.
