According to celebrity news, Nicki Minaj vowed to never perform for radio station Hot 97 again, especially after being dissed by one of their DJs during their event last weekend.
As previously reported, Nicki and her song “Starships” was publicly dissed by NYC radio station Hot 97′s DJ, Peter Rosenberg, at their Summer Jam Festival last week right before she took the stage with, as Rosenberg called them, “real” hip-hop artists.
Upon hearing about the diss, Minaj‘s label boss, Lil Wayne, decided to pull her from the said gig.
Now, sources close to Nicki told TMZ:
“The singer [Nicki] stands by her boss’s [Wayne's] decision to axe her performance and when she heard the radio station wanted her to come back next year … she said that would NEVER happen.”
The pop star believes that she doesn’t need to be around negative people who don’t respect her and will, therefore, spend her time performing for her fans who actually love her and her music.
As for Rosenberg, he tells TMZ that he stands by his comments and still thinks “Starships” is “wack and corny.”
So much for apologies…
