WOODY ALLEN told Hollywood news that he actually wouldn’t hesitate to use LINDSAY LOHAN in a movie, unlike other directors who seem to be steering clear of the troubled actress.
It appears Lindsay wouldn’t have to promote and prove herself to Hollywood any further to get more stints after her gig as the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic, “Liz & Dick,” because she has Woody Allen on her side.
Could it be because she won him over during their secret dinner last month?
The acclaimed director and screenwriter of “Midnight in Paris” told Access Hollywood at the premiere of his new film, “To Rome With Love”:
“I wouldn’t hesitate to use her in a movie because she’s a very talented girl.”
Although Allen is very aware of Lindsay‘s precarious position in show business, he seems to have a lot of faith in her and definitely wouldn’t need any insurance documents to feel secure about the actress playing a role in any of his future projects. He shared:
“If there was some legal reason I couldn’t [cast her], that would be a different story, but it would not concern me personally, no. I think that she’d be just fine and she’d do a great job. As I say, she’s a very gifted girl and I would not hesitate. If I had something for her, I’d certainly call her.”
Hmm. Allen probably hasn’t heard about her recent car crash and her lying to the cops about it…
As for their secret dinner “date,” Allen insisted that it was just a “social dinner.”
