Entertainment news reveals that ADAM LAMBERT is reportedly being considered as the next “American Idol” judge for the show’s upcoming season…
Now that Jennifer Lopez is unsure (again!) of whether or not she will be returning to the judges’ table for “American Idol” Season 12, producers of the long-running singing competition show have been thinking of replacements… and Lambert, who was a runner-up back in 2009, is one of the contenders.
A source tells E! News:
“They have been talking about Adam for over a month… He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”
But it’s not just J.Lo who might not come back to the show. According to reports, both Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler have yet to formally sign on for the next season, and it’s still undecided whether the producers want them back. The source explains:
“Randy is great, but he’s part of the old Idol… They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up.”
When asked about his thoughts on being the next “American Idol” judge, Adam told Gossip Cop:
“Idol has an amazing history of introducing great musical talent, and I was very fortunate to have had the Idol stage play a big part in my career… If Idol wants to talk to me about judging, I’d be more than flattered to have that conversation.”
What do you think? Would you watch “American Idol” if Adam became a judge?
