The latest celebrity news has learned that JUSTIN BIEBER is being sued by a fan’s mom for over $9 million over excessively loud concert noise that reportedly damaged her ears… two years ago.
We know Justin is one pop star who is capable of influencing over 24 million people (just over Twitter!) and causing state of emergencies in foreign countries because of a stampede of loyal female fans.
But even though we can’t really blame him for being crazily famous and sought after around the world, one lady thinks that the teen heartthrob should pay for all the ruckus…
…even at his own concert!
According to TMZ, a woman named Stacey Wilson Betts is suing the Biebs for inadvertently causing damage to her ears after being at his noisy concert in Portland, Oregon last July 14, 2010 with her daughter.
The site explained:
“In the suit, Betts claims Bieber ‘created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion.’”
Not only that, Betts claimed that Justin made it worse when he started performing in a “heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola” which was pulled out into the crowd.
The site continued:
“Betts says the gondola acted as a ‘sound conductor creating a sound blast that permanently damaged both of my ears.’”
Betts is now reportedly suffering from tinnitus, which causes a pulsing and wooshing sound that “makes it hard to sleep,” and other hearing-related problems—so she’s suing Justin, his record label Island Def Jam, the concert promoter and the arena for $9.23 million in damages.
At least her daughter is not complaining, right?
Do you think Justin will pay up?
