Of course, if Lady Gaga was making an ad for her first ever perfume, “Fame”—also the first ever black eau de parfum—it would be nothing short of a disturbing and controversial nude photo shot by Steven Klein.
True enough, Mother Monster laid fully naked with 17 tiny, half-naked men strategically placed all around her body like a bunch of creepy crawlies.
Although Gaga once said that her fragrance would smell like an expensive hooker, “Fame” actually smells floral and fruity as it includes “tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.”
What’s also shocking was that the Twitter Queen wasn’t as fearless about her new ad as she was with her other, more shocking looks. When she unveiled it to her 25 million followers on Monday, she admitted:
“i won’t lie I’m a bit nervous. its been a while since i’ve shared some work with you. But i’m so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep!”
