The latest Hollywood news reveals that MARIAH CAREY has officially signed on as the newest “American Idol” judge for its upcoming season.
Wow!
As it turns out, FOX can afford to hire Mariah to join the long-running singing competition, filling one of the seats vacated by former “Idol” judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler and teaming up with the show’s sole remaining original judge, Randy Jackson.
And with her on the show, —if Randy doesn’t leave or get replaced, that is.
Mariah went on Twitter today to break the news to her followers, saying:
“It’s gonna be so much fun working on @AmericanIdol.”
She added:
“As a singer-songwriter, I’m excited to help find and nurture new talent. LYM! –MC”
And we’re just excited as she is!
