Wow!

Queen Latifah, who is rumored to be the lesbian partner of Jeanette Jenkins, has always wanted to become a parent. In fact, she has actually thought of adopting a child ever since she was a teenager… which we know was a long time ago.

So she figured, in order to move on with her life, why not now?

But she went on “The View” recently and when asked by Barbara Walters about whether or not she had considered adoption, Latifah admitted:

“I’m actually kind of working on that.”

The 42-year-old rapper-turned-actress actually admitted last March that she wanted to adopt her first child from Africa but due to undisclosed reasons, it didn’t push through. As to why she figured that it was time that she finally went through with it, she shared:

“I think I saw one of those specials… you know those movies of the week. And it was like — and I just always wanted to bring a child home.”

As it turns out, Latifa‘s so excited about the thought of adopting that she doesn’t matter where the child came from. On whether or not she’s seriously planning to go through with it, she joked before confirming:

“I’m totally serious, so if you got a kid that you don’t… Just give me a year — let me set up camp and send me the kid! But no, no totally.”

How exciting!

Do you think Queen Latifah will finally get her own little prince or princess anytime soon?
