KATY PERRY reportedly rejected a $20 million offer to become an “American Idol” judge, according to the latest Hollywood news.

Is she crazy??

Who will be the next to sign on as the next “American Idol” judge to join Mariah Carey in replacing recently departed judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler?

It could very well be Nicki Minaj, who is in talks of joining the show, or Keith Urban, who is reportedly nearing a deal with Fox. But the list of rumored potential judges just continues to grow, and it definitely doesn’t have Katy Perry‘s name on it… anymore.

Such a shame, if you ask us.

According to TMZ:

“‘Idol’ pursued Perry relentlessly for weeks, eager to get her to sign on the dotted line.”

Unfortunately, Katy reportedly rejected an $18 million offer—the same amount that Carey reportedly joined the show for—and did not budge even when the show offered up to $20 million.

And no, she didn’t want more money.

A source revealed to the site:

“Aside from the fact that Katy‘s schedule made it impossible to do the show … she just didn’t think it was [a] right career choice for her.”

Would you have wanted Katy Perry as a judge on “Idol”?
