According to recent Hollywood celebrity gossip, KEITH URBAN is nearing a rich deal to become the next “American Idol” judge.
Completing the judges panel on “American Idol” has been quite a headache, especially since two judges—namely Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler—have vacated their spots to focus on family and music careers and the show’s only remaining original judge, Randy Jackson, is still unsure about staying.
Fortunately, the show is reportedly closer to solving all of their hiring problems as Nicole Kidman‘s rocker husband, Keith Urban could very well be sitting next to the new replacement judge, Mariah Carey, and possibly, young pop star Nicki Minaj, in the upcoming season.
Urban, who is currently a judge on Australia’s “The Voice,” confirmed the “Idol” invite during an interview with an Australian radio station, saying:
“They did reach out to us. But they have been reaching out to a lot of people, so I think they are just figuring out which way they are going to go too.”
More importantly, a report by The Hollywood Reporter stated:
“[Urban] has agreed to take a third seat for a salary of $3 to $4 million, according to [a] source.”
