KELLY CLARKSON rapped to EMINEM‘s “Lose Yourself,” according to entertainment news.
Kelly… rapping?!
We ‘ve heard Kelly sing bubbly pop songs ala Katy Perry and Britney Spears and even slow jams like Coldplay‘s—as opposed to all the heart-wrenching diva tunes that she’s so used to belting out—but we never expected her to take on rap!
In her show this weekend in Detroit, the 30-year-old “American Idol” winner dared to do an unexpected cover of a rap song by Eminem off the “8 Mile” soundtrack, for which she put on a gray hoodie.
She asked the audience:
“Is anyone an Emimem fan? I am an Emimen fan as well. I grew up listening to him as well. But the difference is, people, when you listen to him on the radio and sing along to him in your car, you’re a lot more badass than you actually are.”
She added, before busting out the rhymes to the song:
“Because when you get alone without Eminem doing it with you, it’s not as good.”
Well, sure, but Kelly wasn’t so bad at it!
