Recent Hollywood celebrity gossip has it that KRISTIN STEWART is too ashamed to show her face at her own movie premiere for “On The Road” because of all the bad press that stemmed from her recent cheating scandal.
In addition to her reportedly being too depressed to shower, sources say Kristen will be skipping her August 16 London premiere for “On The Road,” in which she had a few topless scenes.
Well, you would understand why she would even be playing with the idea of not attending the premiere—she just admitted to cheating on her boyfriend with her married director, Rupert Sanders, from her other movie, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” barely a month ago.
A source revealed to Radar Online:
“Kristen won’t be doing the red carpet for ‘On The Road’ – she’s too ashamed to show her face in public right now. After everything that has been said, and in light of the revelations that she cheated on Robert with director Rupert Sanders, she’s running scared at the moment.”
The insider added:
“There’s also the dilemma of standing next to her co-star in the movie, Tom Sturridge. He’s very close to Rob and Kristen thinks it would be awkward for her to promote the movie on the red carpet alongside him.”
Kristen also reportedly doesn’t want people focusing on her and her scandal when she hits the red carpet—and distract people from the movie—which we all know would probably happen. The source said:
“Kristen is very proud of her work for ‘On The Road,’ she grew up reading Kerouac novels and this is a production she always wanted to star in. She wants her performance and this film to be recognized for what it is – a great adaptation of a classic book.”
So is young K-Stew really “running scared” from all the judgmental and dangerously curious people?
Hardly.
According to Gossip Cop, she was “NEVER going” to the movie so, technically, she’s not skipping/pulling out/playing hooky from the premiere.
We wouldn’t say that she isn’t scared of facing the crowd at the wake of her cheating scandal so she must be feeling very fortunate to have been scheduled to miss the premiere a long time ago.
