Star news has learned that LINDSAY LOHAN, who is currently a suspect in a recent home burglary case, is claiming that she was framed and set up to take the fall.
Seriously?
As previously reported, Lindsay has been officially named a suspect in the alleged theft of $100,000 of watches and sunglasses that occurred at the home of her friend Sam Magid in Hollywood Hills last week. It makes sense, considering her history of felony grand theft and the fact that she immediately skipped town after being questioned for the burglary, but LiLo insists that she is definitely not guilty and claims that she was framed by the real thief.
Wow. Sounds like a mystery novel, doesn’t it?
TMZ reports:
“Lindsay Lohan claims she’s been framed… telling friends the real culprit is a man claiming to be [music mogul] Suge Knight‘s son.”
But the cops aren’t buying it… and here’s why:
The homeowner, Sam Magid, recently revealed to the cops that the man Lindsay is accusing—a man named Andrew Knight—was one of the two people at the house party (which was the same night of the theft) who returned some of the stolen items that Lindsay allegedly took.
Magid also revealed that when Knight and his unidentified pal returned the items, they told him that they were approached by Lindsay on the night of the party, and she handed them a bag containing 2 or 3 of the stolen items, which she had wrapped in a t-shirt.
And when she was questioned by Magid, Lohan admitted that she took and hid the items because she was afraid that burglars would come and steal them, but she also said that she could not remember the night’s events clearly because she was on Ambien at the time.
Now, the actress is claiming that Andrew Knight was the one who stole the items… an accusation that he has vehemently denied.
As of now, Lindsay still remains a prime suspect in the investigation.
