In recent Hollywood news, “Parks and Rereation” star RASHIDA JONES has just urged JOHN TRAVOLTA to “come out” of the closet and admit to being gay in her latest interview.
Okay, Rashida… open mouth, insert foot.
Though John Travolta has repeatedly denied the allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances and indecent sexual proposals to several male masseurs, even going as far as to embark on a public PDA session with his wife Kelly Preston during his red carpet appearance for his latest movie “Savages” to prove his sexuality, a lot of people still find it hard to believe that he is, in fact, not gay.
And apparently, Rashida Jones is one of those people.
In a recent interview with SpinningPlatters.com, the actress unthinkingly made her assumptions on Travolta’s sexuality known during a discussion about her new favorite singer Frank Ocean, who recently came out as a gay man.
After Jones confessed to an obsession with Ocean, her fellow actor and former boyfriend Will McCormack, who was doing the interview with her, said:
“There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out.”
Rashida then jumped in and said:
“A movie star. Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this.”
She continued:
“…big stars need to come out. Ricky Martin was huge. That was big; I was really happy about that.”
Rashida might not know this, but it’s pretty darn rude—and not to mention disrespectful—to publicly urge someone to “come out” and admit to being gay… especially when they’ve already denied it.
What can you say about Rashida’s comments?
