Hollywood news reports that ROBERT DOWNEY JR. injured his ankle while filming on the set of “Iron Man 3,” which effectively delays the production schedule of the film.
Robert Downey Jr. has started filming the third installment of “Iron Man” (without his former co-star, Scarlett Johansson) right on the heels of his successful promotional tour for the star-studded blockbuster hit, “The Avengers”—where he also played the suave iron-suited hero.
Unfortunately, the filming will have to be delayed as Downey Jr. accidentally injured his ankle while on set on Wednesday.
Marvel Studios explained in a statement:
“Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt.”
The studio added:
“There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”
Get well soon, Robert!
