SHIA LABEOUF tells entertainment news that he’s done with big budget movies.
Shia, who recently ventured into the comic book biz, may attribute his mojo and major millions to playing the lead in the three film installments of “Transformers”—and to getting it on with the sexy Megan Fox—but the former Disney child star reveals… that’s it for him when it comes to big time flicks.
From now on, we’ll only see him in indie projects.
But it seems the actor has completely crazy legit reasons for laying low and choosing non-commercialized flicks. LeBeouf tells The Hollywood Reporter:
“I’m done. There’s no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist.”
“You give Terrence Malick a movie like “Transformers,” and he’s f–ed. There’s no way for him to exist in that world.”
The 26-year-old actor, who is set to start filming soon for Lars von Trier‘s “Nymphomaniac,” also claims that “Transformers” felt like having a “finger up your ass.”
He then raves about the people behind his new movie, “Lawless”:
“These dudes are a miracle … They give you the money, and they trust you — [unlike the studios, which] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your ass and chase you around for five months.”
Hear that, Michael Bay?
What do you think of Shia‘s shocking career move?
