Entertainment news reports that SNOOP DOGG (a.k.a. SNOOP LION) wants to become the next judge on “American Idol.”
Seriously?
Now that Mariah Carey has officially signed on as the newest “American Idol” judge—filling one of the judges seats recently vacated by former judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, who are now focusing on their music careers—one empty seat remains to be filled.
And guess what? Snoop Dogg, who recently changed his name to Snoop Lion, would actually love to do the honor of sitting with Mariah and the sole remaining original judge, Randy Jackson, for the show’s upcoming season!
And here we thought Charlie Sheen was the oddest choice in the growing list of possible replacements…
Snoop answered in an interview recently and said, “I’ll do ‘American Idol’” but we have yet to hear from “American Idol” spokesman Neil Schubert about the possibility of Snoop filling the empty seat.

I can’t wait to watch Snoop Dogg if he does happen to get the judges position. I know it’s just a rumor but I’m hopeful that he will get the chance to make a difference on my favorite primetime show. I think it needs new life and Snoop along with Mariah might be the duo to make it happen. I never like to miss my primetime shows and now I can enjoy them all commercial free using my Auto Hop feature. I don’t like commercials and I always hate having to manually skip them. Now I can choose to skip commercials or let them play on my PrimeTime Anytime shows. One of my coworkers at Dish showed me how Auto Hop functions, and how it’s going to make things easier. This isn’t an automatic feature and it asks if I want to skip them before the recording starts. No more wearing out the fast forward button or batteries.
