KANYE WEST declared his love for his current girlfriend, KIM KARDASHIAN, in a song that he wrote three years ago.

Whoa.

We may have been stunned when Kim Kardashian started rebounding dating rapper Kanye West right on the heels of her split from her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, but it looks like it was a long time coming… at least for Kanye.

As it turns out, Kanye had been wanting to date the bootylicious reality star for years—even when she was still dating NFL star, Reggie Bush, in 2009—and expressed his love for her through a song titled “Knock You Down,” years before he dedicated three more songs for her.

Sources close to Kanye tell TMZ that the rapper referenced Kim and Reggie in his song, which rang:

“You was always the cheerleader of my dreams / To seem to only date the head of football teams / And I was the class clown that always kept you laughing / We were never meant to be, baby we just happened.”

Similar to Kanye‘s first widely reported song about Kim, Kanye says:

“You should leave your boyfriend now.”

Who knew Kanye could be such a romantic?
