LADY GAGA has been called a sl*t for smoking marijuana on stage during her concert in Amsterdam, according to the latest star news.

Huh?

Lady Gaga‘s recent on-stage stunt in Amsterdam left an anti-drug spokesperson to label her a “slut,” but no it wasn’t because she flashed her butt again a la Madonna.

The pop star, who has admitted to using drugs when she was younger, smoked weed during her concert—since the state legalizes marijuana—and naturally, photos of her puffing on it made news worldwide.

It struck a chord with Staten Island Borough President, James Molinaro, who claimed Mother Monster had glamorized the use of drugs. He then used two photos of Gaga smoking pot in one poster and pointed at it at the launch event for his new Tackling Youth Substance Abuse program, sarcastically saying:

“There’s Gaga. Here’s this … this … I would call her a slut. This slut is influencing many, many children … and it’s right to do. It’s fine, it’s part of it.”

Accprding to the Staten Island Advocate, he continued:

“My niece has two daughters, 12 and 14, [and] they love this woman. Why? Why?”

Molinaro then started accusing other “actresses, actors, ballplayers” of using “drugs as if it’s nothing.” He insisted:

“We shouldn’t praise them. We shouldn’t honor them. We should really hit them. We should hit the sponsors that she has … where her millions of dollars come [from].”

Going back to Gaga, he said:

“To me, she’s not an actress, she’s a slut … in the pure meaning of the word.”

Say what?

His use of the word slut was obviously confusing as it doesn’t refer to a person who uses drugs. When asked by the New York Times to clarify his use of the word, Molinaro stood by his statements, adding that he wasn’t talking about Gaga‘s sex life.

He explained to the paper:

“Looking up the word ‘slut’ to see if it was properly used before I used it, it said ‘improper conduct.’”

He added:

“Now, isn’t it improper for someone who is so high profile to be smoking reefer in front of children?”

Molinaro didn’t stop there. He continued:

“I have grandnieces that idolize her – 12 and 13 years old – and it’s ridiculous. You see these young girls walking around on Halloween with her outfit on.”

Two things were clear: he didn’t like the effects of Gaga smoking in public and he didn’t seem to look more into the true meaning of the word “slut.”

What can you say about Molinaro‘s comments about Gaga?
