In recent star news, MARIAH CAREY has slammed rumors of a feud between her and fellow judge NICKI MINAJ on “American Idol”.
We all know Mariah would love to judge “American Idol” all by herself—and we’re pretty sure she can—but now that Nicki Minaj (along with Keith Urban) has officially joined the judging panel, the diva obviously has to play nice.
But will she?
Since last month, rumors have been flying around that Carey was “pissed” about the thought of having to share the judge’s table with Minaj, and it was recently reported that the two women have already started fighting within days of the big announcement that Nicki and Keith would be joining the show.
A feud/catfight is definitely one way to boost interest in the show, but Mariah insists that it’s non-existent. During a press event in New York on Monday with her fellow judges, Mariah said:
“How can we feud in two days? I think a feud takes a little longer.”
Meanwhile, Nicki also joined in on shooting down the rumor. She said:
“[We are all] getting along wonderfully.”
Well, that’s that… but if the ladies do end up feuding, we’re sure they’ll save it for the cameras.
