The latest entertainment news reports that USHER and SHAKIRA will be replacing CHRISTINA AGUILERA and CEE LO GREEN in the upcoming season of “The Voice.”
While the current mentor line-up on the current season of “The Voice” proved to be interesting—mainly because of the petty fights and the “bromances” on the show—Grammy-winning pop star Christina Aguilera, who recently released her first solo single in years, and famed R&B artist Cee Lo Green will be leaving the show.
According to an Us Weekly source, Usher and Shakira will be then be taking their turn on the rotating chairs and joining current mentors, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for the show’s 4th season.
Executive Producer, Mark Burnett, said in a statement:
“Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour. Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life. This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans.”
“Meanwhile, we’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold.”
During the break, Christina will be focusing on promoting her soon-to-be-released album, Lotus, while Green will continue working with NBC on a new show of his own.
Will you be sad to see Christina and Cee Lo go?
