ZOOEY DESCHANEL shared a hilarious story behind her slightly awkward and uneasy red carpet pose at the Emmy Awards last Sunday.
While Zooey Deschanel always looks adorable no matter what she wears—even her favorite pair of black stockings that she thinks goes with everything—she looked a little uneasy when she walked the red carpet of the 2012 Emmy Awards this weekend.
The “New Girl” actress didn’t look quite like her usual beaming self, and we’re pretty sure it’s not because she heard that she wouldn’t be picking up an Emmy for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.”
So what happened?
Apparently, Zooey had been standing right next to “movie star” Nicole Kidman when she started down the red carpet and she ended up deferring to Kidman and didn’t expect the photogs to snap photos of her yet. While some were able to catch Zooey smiling, the not-so-lucky few caught her striking a pose in which she slouched and looked downright displeased.
We’re sure many other actresses would understand… Who wouldn’t feel belittled next to Nicole Kidman?
