MALIN AKERMAN looked adorable in a red backless dress as she walked the green carpet at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards on Sunday.

Usually, Malin opts for sexy—and oftentimes risqué—outfits for red carpet events… which is why we were surprised to see the actress, who recently announced her first pregnancy, in a cute, almost conservative Alexx Jae & Milk dress that did not have the usual features of Malin’s previous ensembles—namely, a plunging neckline or a thigh-high slit.
Instead, her red babydoll dress featured cap sleeves, a sheer (but still very opaque) triangular panel on the bodice, and cutout details on the back.
Malin finished the look with a black clutch and black Prada slingback pumps.
Sleek hair and a red lip provided the finishing touches.
