The latest star news reports that CHRISTINA AGUILERA‘s recent weight comments in her latest Billboard magazine cover story are “false”… because they were made up!

Several celebrity gossip websites have started reporting about Christina Aguilera‘s latest interview with Billboard magazine where she talked about her new music and album, “Lotus,” her departure from “The Voice” and her “rebirth” as an artist.

The excerpts also talked about the new Christina physically—and you know we’re talking about her much curvier bod—and claimed the veteran pop star made actual comments about her losing and gaining weight as early as 10 years ago.

One of the fake quotes read:

“During the promotion of my album ‘Stripped’ [in 2002], I got tired of being a skinny, white girl. I am Ecuadorian but people felt so safe passing me off as a skinny, blue-eyed white girl.”

Another fabricated comment stated:

“The next time my label saw me, I was heavier, darker and full of piercings! Let me tell you, that wasn’t an easy pill for them to swallow.”

While that sounds like an inspiring comment to encourage her fans to fight for what they want, Christina never said such things in her cover interview.

For the record, her rep told Gossip Cop:

“The quotes online are false.”

Whoopsies.
