In recent star news, a crazy JUSTIN BIEBER cancer hoax has fooled some of the singer’s fans into shaving their heads to show their support for him.
It’s a well-known fact that Justin Bieber has a special place in his heart for young Beliebers who are battling cancer… but that’s not because he himself is suffering from the Big C.
Still, many young Biebettes were fooled into believing that the singer had been diagnosed with cancer, which sparked a fake movement that encouraged fans of the Biebs to shave their heads and go bald to show their support for their idol.
The mean-spirited prank was masterminded by a couple of unidentified 4Chan users, who spread a fake screenshot of Entertainment Tonight’s Twitter account showing a fake tweet that says:
“Pop star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer earlier this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show their support.”
Another fake tweet—this time from “Justin Bieber” himself—can also be seen in the screenshot, which says:
“Several of my AWESOME supporters are shaving their heads to help get me through this! I love my fans! #BaldforBieber”
Needless to say, quite a few Justin Bieber fans were so eager to show their support for the singer that they went ahead and sheared their hair off.
Justin has yet to comment on the crazy prank that has cost countless numbers of his fan base their luscious locks.
