In recent star news, TAYLOR SWIFT has admitted that she only writes “bad” songs about people who “messed up her life.”

Notorious for writing scathing songs designed to humiliate her exes, Taylor Swift constantly feels the need to explain herself when it comes to her obsession with putting out angsty breakup songs.

The singer, who is currently promoting her new album “Red,” said in an interview with The Daily Beast:

“I take these songs and these people who inspire these songs on a case-by-case basis… If there were someone who was a good person, I’m not going to write something bad about them. But if they handle a situation in a way that really messed up my life for a while, that’s what I’m going to write about.”

Taylor continued:

“For me, I’ve never changed the reason I write a song. Songs for me are like a message in a bottle. You send them out to the world and maybe the person who you feel that way about will hear about it someday.”

Still, despite her penchant for embarrassing her former boyfriends with her acid-tongued lyrics, Taylor denied the notion that her potential suitors were afraid to date her due to the possibility of becoming the subject of one of her sometimes-vindictive songs. She said:

“I’ve never had a guy say to me, ‘I was thinking of asking you out, but I was afraid I would end up in that song.’ I have had a guy say, as we were breaking up, ‘You better not write a song about this.’ At which point, I proceeded to write an entire album about it.”

Do you think Taylor is justified in writing not-so-flattering songs about her exes?
