JACKIE CHAN has announced that he will no longer be doing action movies after his new movie, “Chinese Zodiac.”

Aww!

Jackie Chan is staying true to his word that he is quitting action movies with “Chinese Zodiac”—premiering in December in China—as his last.

He took that shocking announcement back last July, but it seems there’s really no changing the “Karate Kid” star’s mind.

Chan told Reuters in a statement:

“I’m the director, I’m the writer, I’m the producer, I’m the action director, almost everything… This really, really is my baby.”

Now at 58 years old, the Chinese actor went on to say that he’s “not young anymore” and that his stunts can now be simulated with special effects anyway.

He reasoned:

“Why [do] I have to use my own life to still do these kind of things? I just don’t want to risk my life to sit in a wheelchair, that’s all.”

Hopefully he’s not closing his doors to more serious roles, though.

Are you sad that Jackie Chan will no longer be doing action movies?
