Star news reports that LADY GAGA will donate $1 million for the relief of the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Whoa, that’s a lot!
Lady Gaga has openly expressed her love for her hometown, New York—and not just because of all the fattening food—so when the wild Hurricane Sandy devastated it and the rest of the East Coast in late October, she just had to help and give back… big time.
After sharing an inspirational song dedicated to the tragedy, the criticized pop star announced on Wednesday that she will be donating $1 million for the relief of those who have suffered from the Atlantic storm.
Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta) wrote on her website:
“Today I pledge 1 million dollars to New York & The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief.”
“New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion. Please accept this gift on behalf of myself, my parents Joe and Cynthia, and my sister Natali; with our deepest gratitude New York for raising us. Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours. Sincerely, Lady Gaga and The Germanottas“
Somewhere in between, the Gaga humbly wrote:
“If it wasn’t for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today.”
What can you say about Lady Gaga‘s very generous gift?
