ANNE HATHAWAY went goth in a black Tom Ford gown at the New York premiere of her latest movie, “Les Miserables.”
Such a dramatic look for her!
The recently married actress looked gorgeous as always as she walked the red carpet in an edgy black taffeta gown by designer Tom Ford—a surprising look for her, considering her stunning and angelic Givenchy look at the film’s world premiere last week.
Anne oozed danger and drama in the sleeveless black gown, which featured an almost theatrical black cape and a sexy, thigh-high side slit.
To give the look even more of an edge, the brunette beauty paired it with over-the-top, bondage-style strappy sandals by Tom Ford and silver and black Fred Leighton jewels.
Beauty-wise, Anne opted for a very sleek ‘do and dramatic dark lips.
We love the whole look… except for those shoes. It’s great that she’s taking a risk and all, but they’re just a little too much!

That’s not Goth. it’s a black gown with pumps and something that may be alternative in the calf wraps. The problem with Hollywood is that every-time someone wears black, they try to make it like they are Goth, which suggests sub-culture, power, dark romance and other attractive, yet feared characteristics. Just because Ms. Hathaway has appeared in Gothic feeling movies like the Dark Night and Alice in Wonderland, doesn’t make what she wears Goth at all. Sorry Hollywood. I’d be shrieked out of our 1.7 million member society if I posted this pic.
