In recent celebrity news, KRISTEN STEWART has revealed that she thinks it’s “ridiculous” for her to say that she’s “gunning” for an Oscar nomination for her work in “On The Road.”
While Kristen usually isn’t the most expressive actress in the world (her Snow White in “Snow White and the Huntsman” was pretty much like a British Bella Swan), she really came into her own while playing free-spirited teen bride Marylou—who goes for topless car rides and is almost totally naked the entire time—in the film adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel, “On The Road.”
Thanks to her surprisingly less reserved performance, Kristen’s name is now being floated around as a possible candidate for an Academy Award nomination.
So how does she feel about that?
Kristen tells The Huffington Post:
“The fact that it has something to do with the Academy, I simply personally can’t acknowledge it in any way because it’s a ridiculous notion to suddenly go, like, ‘Yep, I’m really gunning. I’m really gunning for it.’”
But whether or not she gets an Oscar nod, the “Twilight” star is still very happy to have been a part of the film. She says:
“I love talking about this movie and everyone involved and the book and everything I’ve been through since the start of it. I would do anything to get the word out.”
Do you think Kristen will finally get an Oscar nomination?
