In recent star news, LEANN RIMES shared that she and her husband EDDIE CIBRIAN “both hurt each other” too during their widely reported affair while married to other people.
LeAnn Rimes still gets criticized for being a “homewrecker” by cheating on her then-husband Dean Sheremet with Eddie Cibrian, who was then also married to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville in April last year. But the country singer insists—their former spouses were not the only ones who were hurt during the ordeal.
In an interview with Extra after her controversial duet with “The X Factor” finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar, Rimes opened up about some obviously self-inflicted pain during the beginnings of her relationship with her illicit lover-turned-husband, which she also revealed in her new song, “Borrowed.”
“I wanna hold out, but I hold on, even though I know it’s wrong. ‘Cause I don’t want to give you back, you’re the best I ever had — but you’re borrowed.”
“I carried that song and that title around with me for about eight months. I was afraid to write it because I knew I had to be incredibly personal…When I did, it was through a lot of tears.”
Part of the reason why it took long before she released it was because she was worried about Cibrian. She admitted:
“I actually was scared to put him in the song, because it does talk about how we both hurt each other. There was a moment where we did have some hurt between the two of us that we had to accept and get over and move forward.”
Fortunately, Rimes is now in a much better place with her newfound peace and their marriage, which she claims was ”made for an amazing relationship.”
What can you say about LeAnn‘s openness about her philandering past?
