LEANN RIMES insisted that she was “professional” during her performance with finalist CARLYROSE SONENCLAR on “The X Factor” stage on Wednesday night in the wake of entertainment news reports that she seemed a little “out of it.”
LeAnn Rimes is defending her arguably drunken and awkward performance when she graced the stage for a finals “diva duet” with Carly Rose Sonenclar on ”The X Factor” on Wednesday night.
The again-active country singer, who probably has a few personal reasons to be drinking (though not irresponsibly), was heard slurring her own lyrics to “How Do I Live” and even seemed to almost lose her balance mid-song.
Upon learning about how majority of the media saw her questionable performance, LeAnn seemed offended, tweeting on Thursday morning:
“In my 18 years of performing, I have never been anything but professional onstage. It is a shame that gossip and lies are overshadowing the performance of Carly, a very talented young girl.”
She continued:
“And while I have not given any media outlet a quote, if you want one, here it is ‘It was an amazing opportunity to share this experience with Carly and I know I’ll be watching for her to win tonight.’”
What can you say about LeAnn‘s tweet?
